Using a QR Code to Register Staff and Connect Them to Your Center
This TECPDS guide will discuss how center directors can use a QR code to help staff create a new TECPDS account and connect to their centers. Center directors can generate a QR code from their dashboard that allows staff to create an account and connect directly to their center. Once approved, the connection is automatic.
Only use this guide with staff who do not have a TECPDS account. If they already have one, please refer them to How Educators Connect to Their Centers.
Instructions
In your TECPDS account, click Manage My Centers.
Find your center and click the QR code icon.
Share the QR code or link with the staff member.
The staff member completes the form and can authorize you to enter records.
Click the Educator Verification tile and select the green folder icon to verify the request.
Choose to invite or deny the educator. If approved, the educator receives an email to complete their account.
Once completed, they’re automatically connected to your center.
If they already have a TECPDS account, they’ll see a warning and a help ticket will be created.
