This TECPDS article will discuss how to apply to become a Registered Trainer. The Texas Trainer Registry, part of TECPDS, is a statewide system the approves early childhood trainers and their trainings. Early childhood trainers can apply to become Registered Trainers by completing the application process on TECPDS that documents their education, credentials, and history in teaching and training adults.

Create a free account on TECPDS, if you don’t already have one.
Watch the Texas Trainer Registry Orientation video and review the Trainer Registry Qualifications, needed to apply and advance on the Trainer Pathway.
Gather your professional documents such as education, professional development, and work experience.
Create your training proposal, using the following sample documents for support:
When ready, click Apply to Become a Registered Trainer on your TECPDS dashboard.
Upload your professional documents and training proposal.
Submit a non-refundable $60 processing fee. The TECPDS team will contact you with next steps.
