KPM: What are we required to assess if we use Circle Kindergarten Progress Monitoring (KPM)?
Answer
It is a district decision in which assessment domains are measured. It is intentionally designed as a comprehensive multidimensional assessment. While many districts and Kindergarten teachers utilize the entire suite of KPM sub-measures, there is a state-mandated KPM Literacy Screener at BOY. The KPM Literacy Screener includes three separate KPM sub-measures: Spelling, Letter Names, and Vocabulary that teachers can complete in 5-7 minutes. CLI Engage also provides a Dyslexia Screener at the end of the school year.
