How do I create a TECPDS Workforce account?

The TECPDS account is your personal early childhood career profile, linking you to our state’s early childhood professional development system. Visit our Getting Started page to learn all about setting up your free account and how you can use this account to advance in your early childhood career. Reminder: each user MUST have their own account. Do not share your username and password with anyone else.  

 Instructions

  1. Open tecpds.org and locate the “sign up” button at the top of the page.

  2. On the sign-up page, select “TECPDS Account Set-Up” button.

  3. For the next step, you will need to have a Google account. If you already have a Google account enter your information here and skip to step 12. If you do not have a Google email account, create one by following steps 4-11. You can create a new Google account or use an already existing email address.

  4. Create a new Google account, or use your existing email address by selecting “Create Account”.

  5. Fill out the information as required. You will need to confirm the email later. Click “Next” after you are done filling out the form.

  6. Next, you will need to verify your email address. Open the email account you put in to get the verification code from Google. Input the code in the space provided and click “Verify”.

  7. Next, you input your phone number, birthday, and gender. The phone number will be used for verification for the next step. After all the information is complete, click “Next”.

  8. Next, you will be asked to send a verification code to your phone with the number you provided. Click “Send”.

  9. A verification code starting with a “G-_____” will be texted to your phone. Input the verification code, then click “Verify”.

  10. Next, you will have the option to add the phone number to your account for future use. You can choose to opt-in by clicking on “Yes, I’m in”, or you can skip this step by clicking on “Skip”.

  11. Next, you will be taken to the page for Privacy and Terms agreement. After you finish reading, click “I agree”. This will take you to the Texas Workforce Registry page for you to continue with your account creation.

  12. Once you have logged in, you will be directed to the Registration page. Complete the form and submit for your free account.
