TPRI: Do I exclude the TPRI Reading Comprehension section since the student read at a frustrational level?
TPRI: Do I exclude the TPRI Reading Comprehension section since the student read at a frustrational level?
Answer
Yes, the Texas Primary Reading Inventory (TPRI) Reading Comprehension section is only for students who read the story independently. Once the student has reached a frustrational level during the read aloud portion, have the student stop reading, do not calculate the Fluency score. The teacher proceeds to read the story to the student from the beginning and administers the Listening Comprehension questions.
