ABC: What is the purpose of ABC Names & Numbers for PK4 and what are the cut-off points?

ABC Names & Numbers PK4 was developed as a formative checklist to support teachers in monitoring student's growth in alignment to the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines. It is intended to be used as a voluntary checklist for pre-K teachers to administer to students in order to collect helpful formative data to drive instruction. It measures recognition of numbers, 0 to 10, and letter names and sounds, uppercase and lowercase. English and Spanish.
Please note, this is not a valid or reliable measure, it is simply a formative checklist aligned to the PK Guidelines. The cut-off points are based on the 2022 Texas Pre-K Guidelines for PK4.
