How do I Renew My Registered Trainer Account?
This TECPDS article will discuss the steps to renew your Registered Trainer Account. To remain active, Registered Trainers must complete an online application to renew their account every three years. To qualify for renewal, you must demonstrate that you have been actively conducting and participating in training.
Note: You may submit your renewal application 90 days before your renewal date, which can be found in your Trainer Account Summary. You will also receive several reminder emails beginning at 90 days before your renewal date.
Instructions:
Ensure you have a minimum of 36 clock hours and document each training presented using this Training Log template.
Click the "Submit Trainer Renewal" tile in your TECPDS dashboard.
Enter each training from your training log by clicking the “add another training” button in the lower right corner.
Provide documentation of the Training of Trainer (TOT) in Core Knowledge Areas and Skills for Trainers from the past three years, with a minimum of 8 clock hours in the Trainer Core Competencies. You can find course suggestions on your Trainer Resources tile.
Document your training in Core Competency Areas for Practitioners or Administrators, ensuring a minimum of 12 clock hours. Any professional development certificates uploaded into your TECPDS account should already appear in this section.
If you need to obtain certificates, we recommend using the free trainings on CLI Engage or the free/low-cost trainings on Texas A&M AgriLife.
If you are a current faculty member, view the Application Requirements for ECE College Faculty and submit a Faculty Waiver Letter. You need 8 clock hours of TOT and 36 hours of trainings presented, along with 12 clock hours covering Practitioner/Administrator Competencies.
A $45 renewal application payment should be made upon completion.
