  • How Do I Create a Google Account to use for CLI Engage?

Are you trying to create a Google Account for CLI Engage?

    • You can have a Google Account or work email to login to CLI Engage.

    • All users on CLI Engage must have a unique email address and a Google Account or work email to log in. The platform uses Google authentication for usernames and passwords, which are not stored in CLI Engage. Users must use the same Google Account or work email to login to CLI Engage each time.

    • You may already have a Google Account ? If your answer is “Yes” to any of the questions below, you probably already have a Google Account.

      • Do you use an Android smartphone or tablet?

      • Do you have a Gmail account?

      • Does your school use Google for email, calendars, or Google Drive?

      • Do you use a Google Account for another website, like the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System?

    • If you do not have a Google Account, you can create one at the following link: https://accounts.google.com/signup, using your existing email address or by creating a Gmail account. For best results, please use Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop.

     Instructions

    1. Be sure to write down your username and password somewhere convenient.  You will use this information each time you log in to: www.cliengage.org.

    2. To use your work or other current email address (i.e., jon.doe@anyISD.net) to set up a new Google Account, click “Use my current email address instead”

    3. You will also need to verify your email address with an emailed verification code.

    4. For an added layer of security, you may wish to add your phone number to your account. Also, enter your birthdate and gender.

    5. If you enter a phone number, you will receive a text message for verification. Should you forget your password in the future, you can use your phone to help you recover your account.

    6. Should you choose to “Opt-in” to Google services, choose “Yes, I’m in.” Otherwise, choose “Skip.”
