How Do I Transfer Students within a Community or District?

This article will discuss how to transfer students within a community or district.

Prerequisites:

  • Need an account with administrative rights

  • Student account must be created in CLI Engage

  • Must know student’s name

  • Must know the student’s current school and class

  • Must know the student’s new school and class

Instructions:

  1. From your dashboard, choose ‘Class & Student Management' under ‘Administrative Rights

  2. On the next page, click ‘Class Management

  3. Input the following:

    1. Community Name

    2. New School Name (school the student needs to be transferred to)

  4. Click ‘Search

  5. Find the new class and choose the ‘Assign Students’ action button

  6. On the left side, input the following:

    1. Community Name

    2. Current School Nam (old school, they are no longer at)

    3. Current Class (old class, they no longer need access to)

  7. Choose ‘Search

  8. Find the student in the list that will appear and click the box by the student’s name

  9. Choose the red arrow button ‘Assign student to new class’

  10. Choose ‘Back

  11. Input the student’s old school’s name in the school field

  12. Choose ‘Search

  13. Find the student’s old class and choose the ‘Assign Students’ action button

  14. Find the student on the right side of the screen and click the box by their name

  15. Choose the blue arrow button ‘Unassign student from the class’

  16. Choose ‘Back
