CIRCLE CDA Training Program - Courses & Workbooks - September 2023 to Present

Congratulations on working toward a nationally recognized Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ administered by the Council for Professional Recognition. The Circle CDA Training Program's online courses were revised to reflect the 2023 versions of the CDA books. All courses meet the training requirements to apply for a CDA Credential™ in Center-Based Programs and Family Child Care settings.

We want to reassure you that the course content does correspond with the 2023 materials and will provide training hours that will count towards the 120 professional development hours required to apply for a CDA Credential™ for Center-Based Programs (infant-toddler and preschool) and Family Child Care settings.

The Circle CDA Training Program references three CDA books that are sold on the Council for Professional Recognition website in their online store. The books are age/setting specific and are available in either English or Spanish. 

When preparing to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, it is important to purchase the Competency Standards book that matches the age group and setting in which you work.  Be sure to review the requirements listed on the Council for Professional Recognition website to determine which materials are needed for your credential pathway.

Green book cover = Preschool Edition (for educators working with children ages 3–5 in a center-based setting)

• Yellow book cover = Infant-Toddler Edition (for educators working with children from birth to 36 months in a center-based setting)

• Magenta book cover = Birth to Five Edition (for educators working with children ages birth to 5 years in a center-based setting)

• Blue book cover = Family Child Care Edition (for educators working with children ages birth to 5 years in a family child care home setting)
