How Do I Invalidate a Student's Assessment Scores?
This article shows you how to invalidate a student's assessment score in CLI Engage.
On CLI Engage, administrators and specialists have the ability to invalidate student assessment scores. Invalidating a student score will delete the record of a student’s assessment and let the teacher test the child again. Scores must be invalidated per child, per measure.
Prerequisites
Once you invalidate a score, you cannot undo it. Be very careful when you invalidate scores.
Here are some reasons you might need to invalidate a score:
The teacher tested the wrong child by mistake
The teacher tested a child in the wrong language by mistake
The teacher tested the wrong measure by mistake
The teacher tested a child in a way that didn't follow their IEP
Important: You cannot invalidate measures in bulk. You have to do it one at a time.
Instructions
These steps assume you are already logged in to CLI Engage.
From your CLI Engage dashboard, go to the red bar that says Screening, Progress Monitoring, and Observation.
Pick the assessment where you need to invalidate a student's score (for example: Circle Pre-K Progress Monitoring or Circle Kindergarten Progress Monitoring).
Type in the Community/District Name and School Name.
Click the Search button.
Click the Class button.
Find the Student you're looking for.
Click the play button icon next to the student's name.
Find the measure you want to invalidate.
Click on the score.
Click the teal Invalidate This Assessment button.
A pop-up box will ask: "The assessment result will be deleted and cannot be restored once it's been invalidated. Do you want to continue?"
Click Invalidate to confirm, or click No to cancel.
