CPM: How do Rapid Vocabulary and Rapid Vocabulary Set 1 differ, and which list should be used at the beginning of the year and during each wave?
Answer:
The Rapid Vocabulary sub-measure in the Circle Progress Monitoring (CPM) assessment is divided into different sets, such as Rapid Vocabulary Set 1, Set 2, and Set 3.
For CPM Rapid Vocabulary assessment purposes, Set 1 should be given at BOY, set 2 at MOY, and Set 3 at EOY.
The main difference between “Rapid Vocabulary” and “Rapid Vocabulary Set 1” is that the latter is a specific subset of the overall Rapid Vocabulary assessment. Each set contains different pictures and is used at various points in the assessment waves (beginning, middle, and end of the year) to monitor progress.
