How To Create A Class Using Class Management?

After teachers are added to CLI Engage, assign them to the right classes. This guide shows you how to create a class in Class Management.

Note: Do not use these steps if your district uses Automated Rostering or if your district administrator creates class rosters.

Prerequisites

Log in to CLI Engage.
In Administrative Tools, confirm that you can see Class & Student Management. If you do not see this option, submit a help ticket.
Confirm that you can see Class Management.

Instructions

Start these steps from the CLI Engage dashboard.

  1. From the CLI Engage dashboard, find the turquoise banner called Administrative Tools.

  2. Select Class & Student Management.

  3. Select Class Management.

  4. Select Add Class.

  5. In the Community Name field, type the district, community, or WDB name.

  6. In the School Name field, type the school name.

  7. In the Class Name field, type the class name. For example: Smith’s PK Class.

  8. In the Class Level field, choose the grade level. For example: PK or KG.

  9. Under Teacher Assignment, check the box next to the teacher’s name. You can also choose other users who need class access.

  10. In the Homeroom Teacher field, choose the homeroom or lead teacher.

  11. Select Submit.
