If a Texas Rising Star nationally accredited ELP experiences a lapse in its national accreditation, the ELP will retain its current star level and undergo a full Texas Rising Star reassessment reassessment within the initial three-month period after the date of the loss of accreditation. The ELP’s new star level will be based on the results of the full assessment, and it will be required to adhere to all Texas Rising Star requirements.

If a Texas Rising Star-certified program attains national accreditation, the ELP will retain its current star level and the accreditation will be documented within TWIST and the Engage event log, following the guidance in the EUG. At the ELP’s next visit, the assessor Assessor will modify which categories are assessed/observed. If the ELP requests for a Star Level Evaluation due to this change, the assessor Assessor would only assess for Categories 2 and 4.
