In the event that Comp Time or Overtime must be used, UTHealth has specific policies related to Comp Time and Over Time. These situations will have to be communicated with the manager and prior approval is required.
Non-exempt staff needing to flex time during the work week will notify their manager via email no later than Thursday before COB, informing them of the number of hours to flex. The manager will meet with staff to provide guidance if the explanation for needing to flex their time is in question doesn’t align with the policies of UTHealth. Guidance will be provided as deemed appropriate.
