Per §809.134(g), TWC has established the following requirements for the Texas Rising Star ATCP (Assessor Training and Certification Program):
All Texas Rising Star Assessors are required to complete, pass, and obtain certification before conducting assessments.
Assessors must complete their prescribed training and certification courses within the Texas Rising Star ATCP and achieve certification before conducting any assessments or annual monitoring visits. Once certified (completion and passing of Courses 7 and 8), the assessor is also required each quarter to complete the quarterly reliability modules to maintain reliability and fidelity in observing and scoring. If an assessor fails to pass a certification coding module, they will be given the opportunity to participate in a PLC (Professional Learning Communities) and then retest. The assigned QR modules/completion of PLCs (if applicable) MUST be completed during the allotted timeframe.
