Good morning/afternoon,
This is ____________________, Texas Rising Star Assessor with CLI Engage, the Centralized Assessment Entity.
I am calling regarding the Texas Rising Star certification quarterly screening requirement. As you may be aware, Texas Rising Star–certified programs are expected to maintain a consistent and high level of compliance with child care regulations.
Every quarter, Assessors conduct the screening process, reviewing the most recent 12-months of history with child care regulations; the results of the screening can affect your certification.
After reviewing your program’s history, we have discovered that the following cited deficiencies will impact your Texas Rising Star certification:
______________________________________________________________________
(Explain deficiencies [High and medium high] found and total amount in the provider’s 12-month history)
Unfortunately, these deficiencies will impact your certification and your program will be placed on Probation A for a six-month period.
Assessors will re-screen the child care licensing history to determine if your program has been cited for any additional deficiencies (new or re-cites). If no additional deficiencies are found, the probation A period will end at the end of the six-month period.
If it is discovered that there are additional Probation A deficiencies within the six-month probation period, without exceeding 14 total High and/or Medium-High deficiencies,
Your program will lose a star level and a second six-month probation is established at the point of discovery. If your facility is cited for any Probation A deficiencies within the second six-month probation, this will result in the loss of certification.
Your program’s assigned team of Mentors will be informed of this impact, as mentor staff may be able to provide mentoring, training, and resources to assist with compliance.
Note: Check if the person you are speaking with has any questions.
