This article explains how ITSN specialists who are working on certification or are already Certified ITSN Members can access ITSN training materials on TECPDS.

Prerequisites:

  • Be a registered ITSN Trainer

  • Have requested and are approved to access the ITSN organization on TECPDS

  • Have attended a topic PLC for trainers

Part One: Submit ITSN Training Event to Facilitate an ITSN Training

Once your prerequisites are satisfied you are to submit a training survey on the topic(s) you want to train on. To submit a training event, complete a short ITSN Training Event survey. You will need to fill out a survey for each training event.* For more information see page 5 of the Certified ITSN Member Program Manual.

In order to document trainings and coaching sessions on TECPDS and generate certificates, your “training events” must be submitted so ITSN staff can enter your event into TECPDS and have it available to you.

You will need to send your upcoming training events at least 2 to 4 weeks ahead of time. This will allow ITSN staff to create your training event in TECPDS and allow you to prepare for your training. It will also provide time for your participants to complete any prerequisites they may have prior to the training.

  1. Access your TECPDS Dashboard

  1. Click on the My Training Proposals tab

  1. Choose the training you would like to access (like the sample picture) and click on the green file folder icon.

  2. Scroll down and click on the Review Training Proposal tab at the bottom of the page

  3. Under the Supporting Documentation section, click on the title of the document to download to be able use the document(s).

  4. Open the document(s) (once you are approved) on your PC and review them before you use for the first time. Please remember to use the documents and PowerPoints as created and do not edit them in any way.

To access the training materials (PowerPoint, and ITSN Teacher Trainer Facilitation Guide), go to “My Training Proposals” on your TECPDS Dashboard. If you do not see the training(s) that you have requested, please send an email to itsnspecialistprogram@uth.tmc.edu to request access.
