The Tejas LEE 1^st Grade English Dyslexia Screener made available in Wave 2 on Tejas LEE is used to quickly and efficiently assess all 1^st grade students before January 31st in the school year for possible risk of dyslexia as required by Texas state law.

Screening of first-grade students can begin anytime in the fall and must conclude no later than January 31 of each year.
