Brainstorming

Linda M.

Getting providers ready for pre-assessment - phase 1

  • brainstorm sessions

    • complete easiest documents with provider first

    • emails with read-receipt so we know that they read it/received the communication

    • pre-recorded message blast to all programs informing them of events/deadlines

    • email blast explaining the September 30th deadline

    • countdown to 9/30 deadline on TRS website

    • meeting providers where they are - going to locations as a team and offering them support in that way

    • discount/coupon once ELD process is completed

    • testimonials from TRS certified providers on TRS website

    • referral system - bonuses for providers who refer people to TRS

    • consortium - creating a cohort for ELDs

      • establishes a sense of community among the providers - allows them to lean on one another

    • have 1 Saturday event every other month/an evening session just for home providers

    • someone from the board/higher leadership explaining the benefits of being part of TRS/consequences of not being part of TRS

    • more community events - have several mini-events going on at once

    • tying incentives to registration for community events

      • if you register/complete pre-assessment docs by a certain date, then you’d get a gift card/incentive or be entered into a raffle

    • have family services come in and provide a workshop/activities for children of the program staff

      • this will encourage attendance and eliminate the barrier of finding child care for staff members

    • pre-recorded videos (for orientation, background, etc.) at the onboarding events

    • have lakeshore donate items and give those as incentives/prizes

    • have a raffle at onboarding events for providers who complete all documents in one go

    • make & distribute location-specific flyers for events

      • targeting home providers or counties that are far away from us

    • snail-mail pink slip for non-responsive providers

      • this will get their attention and might make them more inclined to respond/complete what’s needed of them

    • onboarding events at beginning/middle of the month to make it easier to get observations done at the end of the month

    • provide onboarding events in the homes' community

    • have a certified program host an event and invite ELDs - use certified as an example for other providers as to what we’re looking for

    • have certified providers give their positive experiences in a newsletter

    • fill out a portion of the forms for the providers

    • give them a $50 Lakeshore gift-card when they attend onboarding events

    • send a text reminder about upcoming sessions

    • add information to the course catalog on the website
