Transition FAQs

Katie

Communication to Providers

  • Draft letter from WFS to ELPs was received on 10/2

    • Currently under review by UTH

    • Will be sent back and disseminated by HGAC

  • If you receive questions, you can continue to share:

    • We will continue offering services through the end of October

    • We are supporting the transition to limit service delivery impacts


Staffing and Resources

  • Formal RIF meetings will be held on Thursday 10/17 - plan to be in the office on this day

  • At this time all employees will receive an employee resource guide and HR will be here to answer questions

    • The ERG will provide information on vacation/sick time, insurance, and unemployment resources through the TWC

  • Retirement

    • Contact the Teacher Retirement System of Texas


Available Positions

  • HGAC Positions

    • We do not have access to job titles, salaries, or benefits

    • Transfers to HGAC are not “guaranteed”

    • As we receive more information on available HGAC positions we will share them with you

  • CLI Positions

    • As more positions become available, they will be shared via email and Teams

    • The HR team is in the process of opening/reactivating more positions - expect more positions to go live in the next few days


Logistics

  • Micro-credentialing Badges & PD Certificates

    • Will follow you through TECPDS

      • It’s important to connect your TECPDS account to your personal email and not just your UTH email

        • Instructions on how to do this can be found in the slide deck on the slide titled TECPDS

  • Materials

    • We will collect laptops/iPads/etc. on 10/31

    • Items like staplers, sticky notes, etc. will also be collected on 10/31

    • Monitors/surplus materials will be collected 10/24-10/25

  • Final Mileage Checks

    • Submit October mileage no later than 10/31

    • Will be paid out in typical processing time

    • If you won’t be out during the last week you can submit early

  • Research study

    • More information to come


Expectations for October

  • On-Going Mentoring Visits

    • Finish collecting documentation for ELDs

    • Support certified programs with recertification

    • Conduct typical visits to certified programs

    • Update/finalize documentation in CLI Engage

      • Make documentation as accurate/complete as possible so the next potential mentor can pick up where you left off

  • Delivery of all planned provider trainings

    • PLC/Family Coaching Session/Etc. will still go forward for the rest of the month

  • Friday coding calls are still highly recommended

    • This information is still relevant as we are still delivering services for the rest of the month


Next Steps

  • We will continue to share information from HGAC as we receive it

  • WFS team meeting on Friday 10/11 at 1:00

    • We’ll answer any new questions from staff

    • Please continue to use the survey or reach out to Katie

  • Managers are able to write you a reference letter, however it won’t be on behalf of the university

Do we have a more specific timeline on when providers will receive communication from HGAC?

  • This is dependent on HGAC but we recognize the tension that exists around keeping this information from the providers - we still need to wait for the board to communicate this


Take advantage of your insurance

  • We qualify for special enrollment

  • HR will also be able to provide more information on insurance


When will our last pay-period end

  • The last paycheck will go out in the first week of November - vacation time will be paid out during the second week


What should we do with our files?

  • Don’t shred/destroy them

  • We’ll provide more information on what to do

  • Electronically upload your documents


10/17 meeting - is it all day or a set time?

  • It will be conducted all day - we’re currently working on the schedule

  • You’re able to download the comments from your performance review

  • There are several research projects going on at the moment - most of the available positions will be found there
