Trainer Registry Renewal
Thank you for your interest in getting back on the registry! In order to complete your renewal, you will need to complete the requirements for a renewal and complete the online renewal application.
The steps you will need to take:
Visit www.tecpds.org and log in to your Texas Trainer account. You should be taken directly to your renewal application.
If you are taken to a page that suggests that you do not have a Trainer account, please let us know so that we may investigate your log in information.
If you log in and see an option to complete the renewal application, proceed to step 2.
Complete the online renewal application. Below are the renewal requirements:
Documentation of Training Presentations by trainer (see attached training log)– minimum 36 clock hours
Documentation of Training of Trainer (TOT) in Core Knowledge Areas and Skills for Trainers in past 3 years (copy of certificates)– minimum 8 clock hours
Here is a list of the free or low-cost online TOT courses that we recommend you take in order to meet the 8 clock hour requirement for a Trainer renewal application:
Introduction to the Learning Process for Teachers and Trainers – 3 hours
Fundamentals of Storytelling in Education for Teachers and Trainers – 2 hours
Effective Communication Techniques for Teachers and Trainers – 3 hours
Introduction to E-Learning Theory and Practice – 3 hours
How Do I Design Effective Training for My Staff? – 2 hours
How to Organize and Implement Collaborative Staff Meetings – 2 hours
Documentation of Training in Core Competency Areas for Practitioners or Administrators (copy of certificates) – minimum 12 clock hours
If you need to obtain certificates for these courses, we recommend using the free trainings on CLI Engage or the free/low cost trainings on Texas A&M AgriLife.
