Create standardized certificates and sign-in sheets that include all state-required information for early childhood trainings in Texas.

As a part of the Texas Trainer Registry, the Certificate Generation Tool provides opportunities for all trainers to create certificates that meet all state requirements for their training participants. Available to all TECPDS account holders, use this tool to upload certificates directly into the TECPDS accounts of training attendees (if they provided their personal account number). You can use the Certificate Generation Tool to create certificates for your face-to-face and online trainings, as well as coaching and mentoring!

We strongly encourage center directors who are currently providing training for their staff to use this tool because it provides opportunities to create standardized certificates that contain all of the information needed by Child Care Licensing and Texas Rising Star assessors during their visits.

The Certificate Generation Tool creates certificates aligned to:

  • Texas Core Competencies (required)

  • Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards

  • Continuing Professional Education (CPEs), if the trainer is a TEA-approved CPE provider

  • CDA Competency Goals

A major feature of all certificates generated through this tool is a unique QR Code that can confirm the validity of any certificate by scanning the QR Code to confirm that the information on the certificate is accurate.

  • TECPDS Logos – TECPDS logos will clearly show trainings that are approved through TECPDS. If you do not see the TECPDS logo in the right-hand corner, you will know that they are not approved by us.

  • Your Logo – Upload your personal or training business logo into TECPDS, and the image will display on certificates you provide to your training attendees!

  • Your Organization's Name and Address - Add your organization's name and address to your account to automatically generate on to TECPDS certificates
