How do I create a TECPDS account?

Anyone who works with children birth to age 8 can register for an account with the Texas Workforce Registry, regardless of their role or the sector in which they work. A TECPDS account can help you keep track of your professional development, through creating and updating your professional development profile, view your professional development report, and link to your center/facility of employment. This guide will help you set up your free TECPDS account.

Open the tecpds.org and locate the “sign up” button.

On the sign-up page, select “TECPDS Account Set-Up” button.

For the next step, you will need to have a Google account. If you already have a Google account enter your information here and skip to step 12.

If you do not have a Google email account, create one by following steps 4-11. You can create a new Google account or use an already existing email address.

Create a new Google account, or use your existing email address by selecting “Create Account”.

Fill out the information as required. You will need to confirm the email later. Click “Next” after you are done filling out the form.

Next, you will need to verify your email address. Open the email account you put in to get the verification code from Google. Input the code in the space provided and click “Verify”.

Next, you input your phone number, birthday, and gender. The phone number will be used for verification for the next step. After all the information is complete, click “Next”.

Next, you will be asked to send a verification code to your phone with the number you provided. Click “Send”.

A verification code starting with a “G-_____” will be texted to your phone. Input the verification code, then click “Verify”.
