Suspension- phone script

 Good morning/afternoon,

This is ____________________, Texas Rising Star Assessor at CLI Engage, Centralized Assessment Entity.

I am calling regarding the Texas Rising Star Certification quarterly screening requirement. As you may be aware, Texas Rising Star–certified programs are expected to maintain a consistent and high level of compliance with child care Regulations.

Every quarter, Assessors conduct the screening process, reviewing the most recent 12-months of history with child care regulations; the results of the screening can affect your certification.

After reviewing your program’s history, we have discovered that the following cited deficiencies will impact your Texas Rising Star certification:

______________________________________________________________________

(Explain deficiencies [High and medium high] found and total amount in the provider’s 12-month history)

Unfortunately, the deficiencies found will impact your Texas Rising Star certification; and I regret to inform you that your program will be placed on a suspension (no longer certified).

The certification end date will be effective____________________ (Last day of the Month from when an ELP was screened (e.g., ELP screened on 3/22/2023; End date is 3/31/2023).

You can re-apply for the Texas Rising Star certification six-months after the effective date of the suspension; Texas Rising Star mentor staff will help you determine your eligibility to re-apply. During the suspension period and according to the Texas Rising Star guidelines, your program must meet the entry level designation point threshold of 75 points or less monthly. If this requirement is not met, your CCS agreement will end within 30 days of the effective date of the suspension.

During this period, your assigned team of mentors will be informed of this impact, as mentor staff may be able to provide mentoring, training, and resources to assist with compliance and prepare for future assessment.

Note: Check if the person you are speaking with has any questions.
