Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS)
The Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System is a statewide program designed to meet the professional development needs of those working in the early childhood field.
Staff will use TECPDS to store and track any completed professional development annually. The annual professional development (PD) requirement to accrue 36 hours annually will be added as an annual goal to the Perform2Achieve performance section and rated during the probationary reviews. Managers will generate a PD report from TECPDS for each staff member to ensure the staff are on track with completing the 36 annual training requirements. The PD report will be reviewed at the 2-, 4-, 6- and 12-month probationary review period.
Staff will also be able to access their PD individualized report from their TECPDS account.
In addition, Assessors and other CAE staff will be granted access to the LWDB Administrator section for each of the 28 local boards. In their role, they will be able to view Director and teacher PD, experience, and education records. The LWDB Administrator access will be requested by Mangers for each of their staff. The request will be made during the 1st week of onboarding via email and sent to Tracy Jones: Tracy.A.Jones@uth.tmc.edu
