The Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment was designed to be administered in English or Spanish. Each assessment should be delivered with the corresponding language prompted in the evaluation. We advise to not translate the prompts or instructions to students. This is because attempting to translate the assessment prompts may invalidate the data collected and compromise the fidelity of the tool. We recommend using the tool as designed and administer it in English or Spanish, since it is not a bilingual tool.
Please consult with your school or district administrators, as any accommodations for the student are a local-level decision.
