Dyslexia: Why screen students for dyslexia?
Dyslexia: Why screen students for dyslexia?
Answer
Due to the impact dyslexia and related disorders have on students, mandates are in place to ensure students get their needs met, regardless of the primary language of the student.
Texas state law (TEC §38.003) requires that public school students be screened and tested as appropriate for dyslexia and related disorders at appropriate times in accordance with a program approved by the State Board of Education.
