After the Assessment

Assessors continue entering scores and notes in Engage for the school assessed for any pending classrooms (comments are entered for all measures). Scores assigned to the measures during the school assessment are considered final and cannot be changed. All scores and evidence must be entered asap with the goal of having the assessments finalized no later than Friday following the assessment visit. Data entry for the assessment should occur within five business days of the visit, if not sooner, depending on the date the assessment was conducted.

The Lead Assessor will contact the Mentor assigned to the ELP to schedule the debrief meeting (virtual).

The Lead Assessor will determine if the ELP can request a category reassessment based on the assessment results. In that case, the Lead Assessor will complete the request form to share with the Mentor during the debrief meeting.

The Lead Assessor will check in with the team of Assessors that assisted with the classroom observation, on Friday morning, to ensure all scores were entered prior to finalizing the assessment. The assessment report will be finalized in Engage (refer to EUG for additional guidance Engage User Guide).   The Lead Assessor is responsible for finalizing the assessment and creating event logs if the ELP had to be impacted due to licensing deficiencies, placed on SIA or was eligible for a category reassessment resulting from the full assessment conducted. The Lead Assessor will review the preview of the assessment result report for the assessed school for accuracy before finalizing the report. The Lead Assessor will complete the required sections of the Texas Rising Star tracking form. Upload this completed form in Engage by creating a status update event log.

The Lead Assessor will send a TEAMS invitation for the debrief with the Mentor. If availability allows, the Assessor will attend the result meeting with the Director and the Mentor.
