Debrief with Mentor

The Assessor will email the Mentor to inform them that the Assessment was finalized and schedule the debrief meeting. The debrief meeting will be conducted virtually within two business days of generating the assessment results, the Lead Assessor will also provide the ELP with the assessment results via email and cc the Mentor assigned to the program.  

The following will be shared with the Mentor during the debrief meeting: 

• Star level of certification achieved   

• Assessment Results report from Engage for the facility   

• Classroom Assessment Results report from Engage for each classroom   

• Applicable Texas Rising Star certificate (the certificate is generated with the facility report and can be found at the end of such report.   

• Category reassessment request form if ELP is eligible to request this type of assessment.  This request will be submitted via CLI Engage help ticket within 30 days of the effective date of the full assessment.  

• Texas Rising Star Impact Form (if ELP’s certification is being impacted or if being placed on a SIA) 

The Lead Assessor will discuss the overall scoring, and other items, with the Mentor. If eligible, category reassessment: must be requested within 30 days of the ELP’s last full assessment. The Assessor will assess only up to two of the lowest categories as requested by the ELP. If staff or director changes have occurred since the full assessment, Category 1 will also be reevaluated. This requirement will not count as one of the two allowable categories for reevaluation. This type of assessment does not guarantee the star level increase. The ELP would have access to Mentor support prior to the assessment being conducted.
