How do I Access the BEECH Online Modules?
The Beginning Education: Early Childcare At Home (BEECH) is a web-based professional development system. Available in English and Spanish, the BEECH Online courses include 4 Modules. Inside each Module are 5 sessions – upon completion of each Module a certificate will be available.
The 4 BEECH Modules are:
Module 1: Strategies for Responsive Caregiving that Help Build Language
Module 2: Responsive Caregiving: Building Behavior, Language, and Literacy Skills
Module 3: Support Children’s Progress in Cognitive and Social-emotional Development
Module 4: Build Learning into All Parts of the Day
Inside each Module is 5 Sessions. Each session has the same 5 sections:
Review previous session
Learn new content
Test Your Knowledge with case studies and a quiz
Reflect & Practice on how you can integrate strategies and skills into daily interactions
Treasure Chest has additional resources linked to session’s content
The BEECH Online Courses offer a total of 20 Self-Instructional clock hours of professional development.

These instructions assume that you have already accessed the CLI Engage dashboard.
From the CLI Engage dashboard, scroll down and locate the purple banner labeled Online Learning and Professional Development.
Click the button for the Full Course Catalog.
Look for “Beginning Education: Early Childcare at Home (English) or (Spanish)” – course and click on “VIEW COURSES”.
NOTE: The courses may be organized differently for everyone. Please look for the text title of the lesson to ensure you are entering the correct course.
Find the NOT YET ENROLLED section and click on the purple drop down arrow to see the course/s and click ENROLL for the lesson you would like to complete.
Confirm that you wish to enroll in the course by clicking the SAVE CHANGES button.
You will be directed to the BEECH MOD1: Strategies for Responsive Caregiving that Help Build Language (Self-Instructional) Course. Click on the “Demographics Questionnaire” to begin.
*You must complete the Demographics Questionnaire and the BEECH Orientation Quiz in order to move on to the course.
Once you have completed the Demographics Questionnaire a Green leaf will appear on the left hand side in the Table of Contents.
*As you complete a session in the course, the GREEN Leaf will appear; this indicates that the session has been completed in full and will unlock the next session in the Module.
“Journaling – Your Thoughts” Section.
In this section, you will provide your input and respond to the questions by clicking on “Add submission” and clicking the “Next” button.
Once you have completed a BEECH Module, a Certificate of Achievement will be emailed to you.
There are 4 BEECH Modules, so you have the opportunity to earn 20 hours of Professional Development (5 hours for each Module).
