How Do I Transfer a Student within a Community or District?

Complete the following steps to move a student from one school to another within the same community or school district in CLI Engage

Prerequisites:

You need an account with administrative rights
Student account must exist in CLI Engage
You must know student’s first or last name
You must know the student’s current school and class (transferring from this class)
You must know the student’s new school and class (transferring to this class)

Instructions

  1. Log in to CLI Engage Public – CLI Engage Public.

  2. On the dashboard, find the teal ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS banner. Select Class and Student Management.

  3. Select Class Management.

  4. Enter the community, school, and class where the student will move TO. Then select Search.

  5. Select Assign Student action button.

  6. In the Unassigned Students list, search for the student using one or more of these fields:

    1. Community Name

    2. School Name

    3. Class Name (optional)

    4. Student First or Last Name

  7. Find the student in the search results. Select the checkbox next to the student’s name.

  8. Select the brown arrow to move the student into the new class.

  9. Select Edit next to the student’s name to open the student’s profile.

  10. Clear the checkbox for the class the student is being removed FROM.

  11. Select Submit at the bottom of the page to save the changes.

Students can’t be transferred from one district to another.
